Audi Magazine
Audi Magazine - Contributing Editor
It was a moment of serendipity. I was at the gym when I ran into Sarah Trent, major design talent, and she said “we need an editor. The last one quit”. God I love when that happens. Time to shine. Time to step into the breach. I was new to magazines, but not new to writing. Or scrambling. Or becoming very resourceful — fast. It began with writing a freelance article that became two, and then three, until finally becoming editor and wading through the other freelancers’ work. And non work. One never sent anything in and somehow was still expecting to get paid. Hilarious! Over the years I would still contribute on favorite topics or when we were light on writers. Subjects included a feature on Bergdorf Goodman, celebrity African artist El Anatsui, The Armory Show in NY, Audi’s green machines, Audi safety, custom chairs from artists around the world, and Chicago’s experimental cuisine at the twin Moto/Otom restaurants.
